GAME NOTES -This season was coach Gary Ferguson's sixth with the Bees after 15 years at Appomattox. -During the presentation of the individual medals Ferguson ripped off his jacket that he's superstitiously worn no matter how hot the weather was. If that wasn't superstitious enough, there's also a stop watch at Ferguson's house that had a 4:30 a.m. alarm programmed into it. No one needed to get up that early but because the Bees hadn't lost a game no one could change the alarm. After Saturday's win his wife told ABC 13 Sports, "The first thing I'm doing when I get home is ripping that thing off the wall." -The 27-0 record recalls another Brookville sports. The football program won 28 consecutive games in 2011 and 2012. -Five freshmen were on Brookville's state tournament roster. -Three seniors were on Brookville's state tournament roster. -Ferguson told ABC 13 Sports, athletic director Larry Kidd informed him that the softball team's state title is the school's first ever girls team state championship.
