Roanoke Police Seek Stop In store Robbery Suspect

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Police are investigating a robbery that happened early Wednesday morning.

According to police, it happened the Stop In store on Memorial Avenue.

A store clerk told officers that the suspect, who was armed with a knife and was wearing a heavy black coat with a hood, walked into the store and demanded money from the cash register. 

The clerk complied.  The suspect walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

Police say the store clerk was not hurt. 

The suspect was described as female and about 5'3", possibly 30 to 40 years of age.
