Lynchburg, VA- Downtown Lynchburg saw its share of World Cup fans Thursday as both Amazement Square and Market at Main hosted viewing parties for the game.
"There's so much enthusiasm built around the game and this is probably the most important game that the US has ever played in," said Rodney Taylor, owner of Market At Main.
He said this is the first World Cup he's really paid any attention to mainly because his employees are so into it.
"You see the generational shift, we have a lot of employees who are in their early twenties and that generation is much more in tune to soccer than people my age," said Taylor.
It's a fever most people are catching as they follow the United States who, despite their loss, will head to the round of 16.
USA will play again Tuesday at 4. Amazement Square and Market at Main both said they hope to continue these viewing parties.
