Lynchburg, VA - In this heat, everyone could use a snow cone to cool off. And eating one for a good cause will leave an even sweeter taste in your mouth.

Head out to Hawaiian Sno Shack in Forest this Sunday anytime from one p.m. until dark.

They are having a fundraiser for a baby that has a cancer only 30 people in the world get a year.

It's called ATRT, and nine-month-old Cullen Harris was diagnosed at just four-months old.

There will also be music, a bake sale, yard sale and silent auction.

If you don’t have plans Friday or Saturday night you should check out the play "Our Town".

It's at Lynchburg's Historic Old City Cemetery and focuses on the life of a small town.

The play includes 21 performers and it's really focusing on our town by having guest appearances from people like our own Noreen Turyn, Mayor Mike Gillette, council member Joan Foster and more.

If you can’t make it this weekend they will also have it on July 10th, 11th and 12th.

Premium seating is $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, $18 for students with a valid ID, and $18 for youth. Standard seating is $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students with a valid ID and $10 for youth.

You can purchase them by calling 434-826-0391.

If you enjoy great food, music and beer tasting all with a panoramic view of the mountains and lake, this event is for you.

This Saturday head out to Smith Mountain Lake's first Lakefest.

It's at Bernards Landing Resort and Conference Center.

And the best part is it's all to raise funds for the Free Clinic of Franklin County.
