Lynchburg Man Admits Robbery, Claims it was to Buy Christmas Gifts for Kids

Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg man admits he committed robbery, but claims it was to buy his children Christmas presents.

Jeremy Alexander pleaded guilty Thursday to robbing Kelly's Convenience store on Wards Road in Campbell County last year, and trying to rob a Citgo.In the case of Kelly's, the Commonwealth's Attorney says he handed the clerk a note that said he was sorry to do it, but it was for his kids.

Alexander faces five years to live on the robbery charge, and a maximum of twenty years for attempted robbery and two counts of wearing a mask.
