Lynchburg, VA -  One of the suspects charged with the first degree murder of a Lynchburg man has been denied bond.

According to the Lynchburg Commonwealth's Attorney's office, the murder of Lawrence Giusto was gang-related.

A District Court judge denied bond for Andrew Marcus Banks of Lynchburg Friday morning.

Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney Jeff Bennett said Banks brought a gun into the red SUV, but did not shoot it.

According to Bennett, Banks held open the tailgate of the SUV, so others could open fire on Giusto.

Banks is being held in Blue Ridge Jail, his preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 21st.
