Update: 6:00 p.m.:

State Police have canceled the Amber Alert for 15-year-old Dustin Shaver. The alert was canceled as of 7:18 a.m. Sunday. According to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office, Shaver was located in Benson, North Carolina and is safe.All 3 suspects are in custody in North Carolina and have been charged with Abduction. Denise Shaver (Biological Mother) and Kevin Parrish both are being held in the Johnston County Jail.  Kayla Hoy is being held in Wake County. 

All 3 suspects have been charged with Abduction and are awaiting the extradition process. The arrest were made in this case without incident. 

Earlier this week the Sheriff's Office reported Dustin Shaver as missing but then issued the alert after they say they believed the teen was in extreme danger.

According to Sheriff Mike Taylor, several tips began coming into their office shortly after the alert, which led investigators to turn their focus on Benson, North Carolina.

One of those leads led Investigators to a particular Benson residence, where the teen was found.

Pittsylvania Co., VA- An Amber Alert was issued by State Police Saturday in search of a boy who police say was abducted in Pittsylvania County.

Police say 15-year-old Dustin Wade Shaver is believed to be in extreme danger. He was last seen Monday morning in the 300 block of Pannell Drive in Hurt.

Police tell us Dustin was likely taken by 39-year-old Denise Michelle Shaver, 24-year-old Kevin Scott Parrish, and Kayla Michelle Hoy. Police say they may be traveling in a 1995 Green Jeep, with the license tag VAC 5770.

Dustin is 5’5”, weighs 130 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue or brown shorts and Addidas tennis shoes.
