Alabama leaders in London to recruit aerospace companies, jobs

Posted: Updated:
Governor Robert Bentley and Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield are among the state's leaders at the Farnborough International Show. They'll try to sell Alabama to nearly two dozen aerospace companies.

The event kicked off with a breakfast for Alabama's delegation in London. Over the next three days, they'll meet with more than 20 companies. Some of those companies already have operations in Alabama. The goal is to bring more companies and jobs home.

The governor has already met with the president of Raytheon Missile Systems. It has a missile production factory in Huntsville. He also talked with AAR Corp., which is provides maintenance and repair services.
