Bryan Young described that man's injuries as severe.  Emergency responders reported the man may have a skull fracture.

The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries worked through the night while the water was calm.  The water was searched by dive teams and SONAR. The man and two boats have not been located.

Witnesses told Conservation Police the two men were on a bass boat that impaled a 35 ft cruiser boat.  Three people on the cruiser boat were not hurt.  One of the people on the cruiser pulled the injured man from the bass boat and put a life jacket on him, according to Young.  Young said the cruiser passengers got the injured man on a passing pontoon boat. The pontoon took the man to Saunders Parkway Marina, to meet the medical helicopter.
