Roanoke Sheriff's Office Investigates Inmate Death

Roanoke, VA -  A man accused of firing a rifle from the roof of a Roanoke motel has died in jail.

In a press release, officials say deputies found 43 year old Sean Michael Lovelace unresponsive about 4:00 Wednesday morning in his cell during a routine security check.
Jail officials say EMS crews took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 6:15 Thursday night.
Police arrested Lovelace following the May 14th shooting at the Starlite Motel.     No one was injured.
The Medical Examiner will do an autopsy to determine cause of death.
