UPDATE:

Campbell Co., VA - The Sheriff's Office says they are no longer looking for a white truck in connection with Wednesday morning's store robberies.

Authorities say they spoke with the owner of the truck and he lives in the area of the 7-11 on Route 460.  They say he is not related to the robbery.

According to the Sheriff's Office, investigators have no reason to believe a second person is involved.

Campbell Co., VA - Investigators from Campbell County to Lynchburg are looking for an armed robber and his getaway driver.

Surveillance photos from the Shell station on Timberlake Road in the city show a masked man, holding a gun, entering the store around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office said the same man robbed the 7-11 on 460 about a half-hour earlier. The 7-11 clerk looked at the images from the other store and told investigators he is the person who held her up.

"It was pretty bold to commit two armed robberies in that length of time, that close together,” said Maj. L.T. Guthrie, with the Campbell Co. Sheriff's Office. “When we have an incident such as this, obviously we would notify surrounding jurisdictions."

After reviewing surveillance from both stores investigators determined a second person, a getaway driver, was involved. Police say the person was driving a 90s model, light colored, Ford pick-up truck.  Investigators say the suspects sat in both parking lots for several minutes, waiting for customers to leave before the robber would enter.  They hope someone who saw them in the parking lot will come forward with information.

Investigators hope someone will recognize the robber's facial features through the hole in his mask.  They believe the shirt he was wearing may be from American Eagle.

Investigators say the robber got away with cash from both stores and cigarettes from the 7-11.  No one was hurt.

If you have information you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900.
