The holiday weekend weather continues to impress! There will some high clouds around tonight, but it should be pleasant for the evening with temperatures lowering through the 60s. Later tonight, it will be downright chilly again with overnight lows averaging in the low 40s.
Our Memorial Day will partly sunny and a bit warmer, with the possibility of a few showers or thunderstorms popping up to the west, as close as the Roanoke and New River Valleys. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 70s.
A warm front will bring a few scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, as the overall warm-up continues. You can expect highs to reach the low 80s. Then some serious heat will enter the area Wednesday through Friday, with daytime temperatures approaching 90° and overnight lows inching up into the low 60s.
